Sharad Pawar Health Update: NCP Chief Recovering Well After Chest Congestion, Set for Discharge

Sharad Pawar health update: Veteran politician and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) president Sharad Pawar has recovered well after being treated for chest congestion at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune. Doctors confirmed on Saturday that his condition is stable and he is expected to be discharged, marking a reassuring development for party workers and supporters across Maharashtra.

Chief Cardiologist Dr. Purvez Grant, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, said Pawar responded positively to treatment and is in good health. The medical team has advised him to take adequate rest for a few days before gradually resuming his routine work and public engagements.

Doctors Confirm Recovery and Discharge Plan

According to Dr. Grant, Pawar has made a strong recovery following a short course of treatment.

“Mr. Pawar is in good health and has recovered well. He will be discharged today. The medical team has advised him to take adequate rest for a few days, following which he may gradually resume his routine work and public engagements,” he said.

Pawar was admitted to the hospital on February 9 after developing chest congestion. His daughter, Member of Parliament Supriya Sule, earlier shared that he required a five-day course of antibiotics. She noted that all other vital parameters were normal and thanked well-wishers and the medical team for their support.

Condition Stable, No ICU Required

Earlier in the week, NCP-SCP leader Rohit Pawar provided further reassurance, stating that the senior leader was not admitted to the ICU and was kept in a private room. He emphasized that Pawar did not require any additional medical support and that his tests had been conducted as part of routine monitoring.

Rohit Pawar added that a decision on whether the veteran leader would remain in Pune or be shifted to Mumbai would be taken after reviewing the final medical reports. He also confirmed that Pawar had arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle and that all parameters remained normal.

Appeal to Party Workers

Rohit Pawar urged party workers and supporters to avoid visiting the hospital to prevent inconvenience to other patients. He assured that regular updates would be shared by the family, doctors, and party representatives.

The update comes as a relief to members of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), with leaders indicating that Pawar is expected to gradually return to public life following a brief period of rest.
