Commercial LPG cylinder price has increased by ₹49 per unit from February 1, 2026, raising costs for businesses on the day the Union Budget 2026 is set to be presented in Parliament. The hike affects 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders used by hotels, restaurants, and other commercial establishments, adding pressure on operational expenses amid wider economic expectations tied to the budget announcement by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
In the national capital, Delhi, the retail price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now stands at ₹1,740.50 with effect from today.

New Commercial LPG Rates Take Effect
The ₹49 increase applies exclusively to commercial LPG cylinders. Oil marketing companies revise these prices at the beginning of every month based on international fuel trends and other market-linked factors. The latest revision coincides with heightened attention on fuel pricing as the Union Budget 2026 is presented in Parliament.
No Change in Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices
Despite the hike in commercial LPG rates, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders. The 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder continues to be sold at the existing rate, providing relief to household consumers.
India imports over 60% of its domestic LPG requirements. To shield households from global price volatility, the government continues to regulate and modulate the effective price of domestic LPG for consumers.
Pricing Mechanism Explained
According to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, prices of commercial LPG cylinders are determined independently by oil marketing companies. Unlike domestic LPG, commercial LPG is not subsidized and is directly linked to international market movements, making it more susceptible to monthly fluctuations.
