Child Killed in Road Accident in Mursan

According to police officials, the incident took place around 3 pm in the Madheya locality of Mursan when a car allegedly struck Yash, a three-year-old resident of the area. The child sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the district hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, he was later referred to a higher medical centre in Aligarh, where he died during treatment.

Angry Locals Block Mathura-Bareilly Road

Following confirmation of the child’s death, local residents gathered near the Mursan police station and blocked the busy Mathura-Bareilly road in protest. The demonstration intensified as evening approached, with more people joining the crowd. Some protesters allegedly picked up stones from a nearby railway track and pelted the police station, officials said.

Police Deployment and Arrests

To control the situation, police teams from multiple stations were rushed to the area. Superintendent of Police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said the situation was eventually brought under control after sustained police intervention.

He added that the car driver and conductor involved in the accident were arrested immediately, and the vehicle was seized. However, protesters allegedly demanded that the accused be handed over to them.

Action Taken in Stone-Pelting Case

“In connection with the stone-pelting incident, three persons have been identified and arrested,” SP Sinha said, adding that law and order in the area has now been restored.

Authorities said further legal action is being taken as per due process, and security remains in place to prevent any recurrence of violence.
